Website troubleshooting is billed at $99 /40 mins. This is adequate time to diagnose many of the common issues. Contact us to let us know what issue you are encountering.
With the symptoms and circumstances described accurately, we can often determine pretty quickly what the problem is. Upon visiting the website and running some tests, we will know for sure.
Common website problems and likely causes:
- TLS / SSL certificate errors – expired or wrong settings
- Emails not sending from website – SMTP
- Website is missing – server error or wrong domain dns
- Wrong website showing – domain hijacked* (no promises)
- Spam on website or search results – website hacked
- Broken links – needs information edits
- Website colors, fonts, style broken – wrong cache settings
- Pages not displaying right – needs coding update
All of these website issues are problems we can diagnose and most likely repair.
* In cases of hijacked domains in which a completely different website is showing which is often foreign, some research is probably necessary and it can be challenging to resolve.

The time and work required to fix the website issues listed above can range from quick & simple to complex.
After diagnosing the problem, we can provide a quote of what it would cost for us to repair it. To make it simpler for customers, we try to give a flat rate quote whenever possible. As any service provider knows, some things are better to be quoted hourly if we are aware of variable factors before starting the work.
Cleaning up a hacked website can be time consuming depending on how big the website is, because hidden malicious code can be spread throughout an unknown number of website files that can only be seen at the server level. We can take a look inside before quoting the work.
If there is a recent backup which can be restored, it is ideal and faster although precautions must first be made to secure the server and setup a pristine space where the restored website will not be infected.
Depending on what kind of problem we will be repairing, we will need one or more pieces of information in order to begin the repair.
